About the conference

The original and most followed conference on textile coating and laminating

TCL: the practical, industry-oriented, event

Over 27 years, the International Conference on Textile Coating and Laminating has built a reputation as a vital meeting place for the worldwide coating and laminating industry.

The Conference Director is William C (Bill) Smith, Principal, Industrial Textile Associates, USA, who originated and developed the conference series.

Since 2010 International Newsletters Ltd, the world's premier supplier of information about the industrial and high-performance use of textiles and nonwovens, has run this event with 6 successful meetings in Cannes, France; Orlando, FL, USA; Valencia, Spain; Prague, Czech Republic and Berlin, Germany.

Very different from an academic research meeting, TCL is a venue for practical presentations focussing on what is happening in the industry today and what will happen tomorrow. Supplemented by intensive discussion sessions actively led by the session chairs, TCL is the event for senior managerial, technical and marketing staff from the international textile coating and laminating industry.

The next International Conference on Textile Coating and Laminating will be held at the Novotel Berlin Am Tiergarten where speakers from senior positions in some of the most influential companies in this sector from around the world will gather in Berlin on 14-15 March 2019 to present to delegates.

Last year’s conference in Berlin proved a great success with those who attended, with great feedback and comments from both delegates, exhibitors and speakers. 96% of attendees rated the meeting good or excellent.

The topics for discussion will be in relation to:
Smart and intelligent coatings and laminates
New technologies in polymers, substrates, machinery
Environmental impact and sustainability
Important and emerging applications for coated and laminated materials.
